OPIM 23 was truly an international event with 90 participants, representing more than 70 different companies, universities, agencies and networks from 25 countries all over the world.
With focus on long-term solutions and current developments The European Environment Agency, The Ocean Cleanup and Innovayt highligted their initiatives within the ocean plastic prevention and recycling domain. Concrete projects were presented by DESMI Ro-Clean, The SeaCleaners, Malta Enterprise and Aalborg University in the innovative track - all with different approaches of combating ocean plastic pollution.
More than a 100 meetings took place between the participants, and was an important step towards fostering innovation and creating new networks, ensuring a continued focus on long-term solutions.
